Runaway angel

     Hello my sweet angel dear

     On sapphire clouds you draw me near

     Thinking of you as I saw you clear

     Then before my eyes you disappeared

 

     I can not find you in my dreams

     Or in my mind's eye

     She says, "my heart's been stolen"

     As a part of me dies

 

     Involved in an intense relationship

     It crawled up from behind

     Consumed by a forbidden passion

     Sacrificing delicate hearts to the blind

 

     We're from two different worlds

     She explains to me

     Keeping my satellites at a distance

     Like its supposed to be

 

     You know I always thought

     We would become much better friends

     Its too bad it didn't take

     I said that to the end

 

     What's funny and ironic?

     I did the same thing

     Thinking nobody knows

     The troubles I've seen

 

     An intimate circle

     One lover one friend

     One mind and one heart

     You're closer than you pretend

 

     She says nobody really knows me

     Though I have lots of "friends"

     But c’est la vie "such is life"

     Forever till the end

 

     I hold you in my heart

     Though you may not feel it

     I keep you in my mind

     Though you may not reveal it

     I touch your spirit

     Though you may not hear it

 

     Let me give you my happiness

     Let me place no blame

     Let me say the secret chants

     Until it extinguishes my flame

 

     Fly with the wind my angel

     Let it twist and turn you

     I give you to father love

     That one day it may return you

 

     Thank you for the good

     You brought into my life

     Thank you for the things

     You helped me to decide

 

     Thank you for breaking

     My self imposed chains

     Thank you for helping me

     Believe in love again

 

     Has something ended?

     Or is this how it began

     Your words indeed immortal

     Though slipping though my hands
